| The official opening of the APSACC ’09 saw an unprecedented media contingent, due in part to comments delivered by the Hon. Tony Fitzgerald AC, QC, at the inaugural Tony Fitzgerald Scholarship lecture series for Griffith University the night before. The Hon. Anna Bligh MP, Premier of Queensland and Minister for the Arts, who officially opened the APSACC, faced the cameras after her speech at the conference to respond to Mr Fitzgerald’s comments and many of the issues that had been raised by the CMC in both the preceding weeks and at the APSAC conference itself. |
