Information on fees, payments and terms

Conference – Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 October 2019 

Conference registration fees  

All fees are quoted in Australian dollars and are inclusive of 10 per cent Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Full registration - United Nations designated least developed countries $ 600.00
Full registration - student* $ 450.00
Day only registration $ 870.00

* Reduced rate available to full-time university students. Proof of enrolment must be supplied.

Conference registration entitlements

Full registration includes: 

  • entry to all conference sessions – Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 October

  • daily welcome refreshments, morning and afternoon tea and lunch

  • one ticket to attend the welcome reception on Tuesday 29 October

  • one ticket to attend the conference dinner on Wednesday 30 October.

 
Places at the conference dinner are limited, so register early to avoid disappointment.

Day registration includes: 

  • entry to all conference sessions – Wednesday 30 or Thursday 31 October

  • welcome refreshments, morning and afternoon tea and lunch on chosen day.

Tickets to the social functions are available for purchasing for day only attendees. Places at the conference dinner are limited, so register and purchase your ticket early to avoid disappointment.

Workshops – Tuesday 29 October 2019 

Workshop registration fees  

All fees are quoted in Australian dollars and are inclusive of 10 per cent Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Attendance at workshops is in addition to the conference, or you may choose to only attend workshops. More information on the workshops.

Workshop Cost
Workshop registration – half day $ 450.00

Workshop registration includes: 

  • entry to chosen workshop

  • arrival refreshments

  • a light lunch

  • morning or afternoon tea

  • workshop materials.

Social functions

Function Cost
Welcome reception, 6-7.30 pm – Tuesday 29 October $ 80.00
Conference dinner, 7-11 pm – Wednesday 30 October $ 165.00


Accommodation

Discount accommodation rates for conference delegates have been negotiated with nearby hotels. These include the five-star Pan Pacific Melbourne, the four-star Novotel Melbourne South Wharf, the four-star Crowne Plaza Hotel Melbourne and the four-star Holiday Inn Melbourne on Flinders. Please visit the accommodation page for more information.

All accommodation is subject to hotel availability. You are encouraged to secure your accommodation as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. All accommodation must be prepaid in full by Thursday 26 September 2019.

Credit card

Visa, Mastercard or American Express are accepted. Please note, there will be a 1.25 per cent surcharge on Visa and Mastercard transactions and 2.95 per cent surcharge for American Express transactions. Charges to your credit card will appear as ‘ASN Events Pty Ltd’ on your bank statement. 

Payment and cancellation terms 

  • At the end of your online registration, you will be given the option to pay securely via credit card, or receive an invoice to make a bank transfer. Credit card payments incur a merchant fee as explained above. You will be sent a receipt upon submitting your registration and payment.

  • If you choose to pay via bank transfer, you will be sent an invoice upon submitting your registration, and full payment must be made within 30 days of registering.

  • Your registration is not confirmed until full payment is made.

  • If you register during a period of discounted rate, you must ensure that payment is made before the discounted period ends, otherwise the next cost level will apply.

  • Cancellations must be made in writing via email.

  • Cancellations received before Friday 27 September will receive a full refund, less $100.00 to cover administration costs. Cancellations received after this date will not be refunded. If you have not yet paid for your attendance this must be paid in full.

  • We will accept replacement attendees, and you will not incur any penalties, provided we are advised in writing via email, and your replacement attendee has registered by Friday 4 October.

The conference organisers are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused as a result of such alteration. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the conference organisers do not accept responsibility for loss of monies caused by delays. Participants are advised to take out personal travel insurance and to extend their policy to cover personal possessions. The conference organisers do not cover individuals against cancellations of bookings or theft or damage to belongings.
